The brief
Thoughtfully authored by Dr Cobi Labuschagne, Explore! Awesome South African Artists is a literary treat for children, introducing them to some of South Africa’s finest contemporary artists and curators, including Lady Skollie, William Kentridge, Nandipha Mntambo, Athi-Patra Ruga, Penny Siopis, Banele Khoza, Zander Blom and Dr Same Mdluli.
The book includes portrait illustrations for each featured art star by Lauren Mulliga alongside the featured artist’s most famous pieces, complementing the book’s engaging and accessible language.
